Minimum educational qualification: Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as Medical Specialist (Paediatrics). Registration with a professional council: Registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist in Paediatric. Experience: Grade 1: None after registration with the HPCSA as Medical specialist in 132 Paediatrics. Grade 2: A minimum of 5 years’ appropriate experience as Medical specialist after registration with the HPCSA as Medical specialist in Paediatric (or recognised foreign Health Professional Council in respect of foreign qualified employees). Grade 3: A minimum of 10 years’ appropriate experience as Medical specialist after registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist in Paediatric (or recognised foreign Health Professional Council in respect of foreign qualified employees). Inherent requirements of the job: Applicants must be willing to be flexible with workdays based on service requirements. Willingness to provide two outpatient paediatric rheumatology clinics per week. Willingness to provide occasional inpatient support when required.
