Minimum of 7 years appropriate/recognisable nursing experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing. Registration as a Midwife /Accoucheur with SANC. Computer Certificate- Ms Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint) and post graduate qualification in Nursing Education will be an added advantage. Current Registration with SANC. Valid Driver’s License – Code 8 plus. Only Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit proof of experience/ service certificate endorsed by HR Department Knowledge, Skills, Training and Competencies Required: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Report writing. Knowledge on District Health Systems. Knowledge of relevant regulation and policies. An understanding of challenges facing the Public Health sector. Ability to translate and transform objectives into practical plan. Leadership, organisational, decision making and problem-solving abilities within the DHS framework
Ensure alignment of all training plans to the National Development Plan. Coordinate the District training plan compilation. Prioritize training for priority programs. Work closely with other program managers to coordinate trainings. Coordinate, facilitate and attend training. Monitor the training health budget and ensure timeous procurement of all required resources. Procure all approved items in line with the business plan. Ensure that all funded RTC training is conducted and attendees contribute to improving health outcomes. Coordinate candidates to attend RTC Funded Provincial and District trainings. Monitor utilization of allocated resources. Monitor that all facilities are well covered in terms of training for comprehensive and quality service delivery. Facilitate execution of skills audit in all facilities. Develop a training plan target all facilities across the district to improve coverage of training items. Map all facilities not covered after every training. Develop catch-up plans for all facilities not covered. Participate in quality improvement programs and clinical audits. Conduct facility support visit using appropriate tools for relevant programs. Facilitate the signing of mentorship agreements for priority training and the linkage of training attendees to mentors. Conduct mentorship after all priority trainings. Attend performance review meetings quietly. Compile and manage data health care training providers, which can assist in extending the health care training function, including post training quality assessments. Facilitate the compilation of standardised attendance registers in all trainings. Coordinate reporting of all trainings to RTC and HRD through forwarding standardised completed attendance registers. Coordinate the district database 108 for all trainings conducted and attended. Share attendance registers with relevant program managers and Sub-District after each training.
