Minimum educational qualification: Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration 175 with the SANC as a Professional Nurse Professional Nurse and Midwifery. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife. Experience: Grade 1: None. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse in General Nursing. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse in General Nursing. Inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to work shifts, public holidays, after hours, night duty and weekends when required. Willingness to work overtime if needed. Willingness to rotate to other wards when required. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Computer literacy. Planning and organisational skills. The ability to function independently under pressure. Knowledge and insight into protocols and policies pertaining to nursing practices in a hospital setting.
