Job Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse. Registration with 183 a professional council: Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse. Experience: Grade 1: None. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years’ appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse. Inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to work overtime, shifts, weekends and public holidays. Willingness to rotate within all wards/departments within the hospital according to operational needs. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and support the managers to ensure quality nursing care. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel). Demonstrate good communication with patients, supervisors and colleagues. Good organizing skills.

Development and implementation of basic patient care plans. Provide basic clinical nursing care. Effective utilization of resources. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development. Effective functioning within the multi-disciplinary team.
