Job Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Nursing Assistant. Registration with a Professional Council: Registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant. Experience: Grade 1: None. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration at SANC as a Nursing Assistant. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/ recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Nursing Assistant. Inherent requirements of the job: Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public 129 holidays and night duty as well as overtime when necessary. Ability to work in a high stress environment. Willingness to rotate between Wards. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to function/make decisions independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Good communication and interpersonal relationships. Knowledge of relevant nursing legislation, policies and protocols of the Department of Health, Western Cape.
Duties
Assist patients with activities of daily living (physical care). Provide elementary clinical nursing care. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self- development. Effective functioning within a multi-disciplinary team. Effective utilisation of resources.
What is the Salary
Grade 1: R181 230 per annum Grade 2: R211 401 per annum Grade 3: R249 141 per annum
