Job Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: General Education and Training certificate (GETC) /Grade 9 (Std 7). Experience: Appropriate experience in a foodservice, tube feed service or milk kitchen. Inherent requirements of the job: Physically able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, packing, and pushing heavy trolleys. Willingness to work overtime on public holiday and weekends. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to read and write. Basic numerical skills with an ability to adapt feed recipes. Good communication skills (verbal and written). Basic knowledge of infant feed products. Knowledge of milk kitchen hygiene practices. Basic knowledge of store keeping and stock management. Knowledge of pasteurisation of human breast milk.
Duties
Production and distribution of infant formula. Processing of human milk including pasteurisation. Maintain optimal hygiene standards in the milk kitchen and store area. Basic stock taking and stock control. Perform basic administrative tasks as required within the department.
